You can “Feel the Rhythm” at Kelso Beach Park in Owen Sound.
The 36th annual Summerfolk opened to a large crowd last night and the music resumes Saturday at 11 AM at eight different stages.
Artistic Director Richard Knechtel tells Bayshore Broadcasting News most of their 55 performers will be taking part in the different workshops today.
The stages include the Children’s Village, Under the Willows, the Sharing Circle, the Gazebo and the Down by the Bay stage.
Knechtel says it’s a great opportunity for you to get up close and personal and meet the performers — and in some cases — play with them.
He feels the workshops and their intimacy make Summerfolk special.
The list of performers include Beckon, the Little Stevies, Elixir, the Arrogant Worms and the Lighthouse Swing Band.
There are more than 40 craft vendors and artisans and almost 20 food vendors that you can enjoy today as well.
The amphitheatre stage re-opens at 6 PM tonight.
There is also a Saturday night dance at the Over the Hill stage beginning at 7:30 PM.
The Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival has turned into one of Ontario’s premier summer music events.
With a budget of over half a million dollars — it was named one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals.
About 15 thousand people are expected walk through the gates of Summerfolk over the three day festival.
