Residents on the Bruce Peninsula can get rid of their hazardous waste again this weekend.
The Northern Bruce Peninsula and Amabel Works Yard will be open today for the County Household Hazardous and Special Waste Day.
The Works Yard in Lion’s Head will be open from 8 AM to 10 AM and the Works Yard in Sauble Beach will be open from 12 PM to 3 PM.
You can get rid of materials such as batteries, oven cleaners, pesticides and propane tanks.
Hazardous materials can be spotted by their labels.
They will say either corrosive, toxic, reactive or flammable.
Improper disposal into drains, sewers, backyards or landfills endangers public health and contaminates water supplies and other natural resources.
