The owner of the former “Around the Sound” food market in Owen Sound is hoping to find a new location and be open in time for Christmas.
Anne Finlay-Stewart tells Bayshore Broadcasting news she is hoping to set up a similar type business in a different location, and she is now searching for a site to lease.
The Around the Sound market was destroyed by a fire in May of this year.
Finlay-Stewart sold organic food and fresh produce from more than 130 local farmers, chefs and bakers.
A fundraising effort was started by community members who wanted to help Finlay-Stewart pay off her debts from the old store.
The on-line effort has raised 22 hundred and fifty dollars so far with the goal set at four thousand dollars.
Anyone wishing to donate can do so at Trophies Two downtown, or online at www.indiegogo.com/Around-the-Sound-Disaster-Relief
