Most everyone in Kincardine is familiar with the Lions Club Park near the Davidson Centre.
The club — in partnership with the town — put in a 150 thousand dollar playground for kids only a couple of years ago.
Now Lions members are getting itchy to improve the park again.
In a presentation made to council recently — Lions Park Improvement Committee Chair Ken Fair says the club has a vision that will make the park a destination point for families for years to come.
Fair says the plan will be phased in over a 10-year period that could feature a California-style skate park molded into the land and perhaps a splash park for starters.
Fair says the club wants to renew the partnership with the municipality to take advantage of their expertise in infrastructure construction and access to grant opportunities.
Fair says they will return with a more detailed proposal during the 2012 budget process.
Council agreed in principle to see where the process can go.
