An Owen Sound man will spend more time in jail after being convicted on internet child luring charges.
29 year old Corey Brown was sentenced to 170 days in prison last month.
Brown was credited with 70 days in pre-trial custody.
His name will also appear on the Sex Offender Registry for 20 years and he is banned from playgrounds and other children’s areas for 10 years.
Brown was charged in May in Waterloo after a joint investigation between Owen Sound and Waterloo Police and the OPP.
Police say several residents received unsolicited text messages seeking sexual encounters from an individual portraying to be a 15 year old boy.
Some of those text messages were sent to children under the age of 12.
