An elderly Toronto man is in a London hospital after his bike collided with a van on Sauble Falls Parkway just north of Highway 21.
Saugeen Shores Police chief Dan Rivett says it happened at about 3 PM on Wednesday.
The van driver had pulled over and was on his cell phone on the side of the road for about 15 minutes, when he heard a bang at the back of his vehicle.
Rivett says the 71 year old man was taken by ambulance to Southampton hospital with serious injuries, and then airlifted to a London hospital.
No charges will be laid against the van driver, and police are still waiting to talk with the victim to find out what happened.
A nurse and another first aid worker showed up at the scene to offer first aid until an ambulance arrived on the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released.
