It’s a case of renter beware.
Police are urging people to check references and the location before renting a cottage.
Huronia West OPP officers were contacted by a family on the weekend who had seen an ad on Kijiji and paid 600 dollars in advance for a cottage in Wasaga Beach,
But they soon found out the cottage did not exist.
