Bruce Power is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year by awarding 200 scholarships to students attending post secondary school this fall.
The “Bruce Power 10th Anniversary Scholarship Program is open to students who are returning to or entering a post secondary institution.
Spokesperson John Peevers tells Bayshore Broadcasting News almost 88 thousand dollars worth of the scholarships are open to students in Bruce, Huron and Grey Counties.
Peevers says education is important to the nuclear operator and they thought the scholarship program was a good way to give back for the community’s support.

Peevers says you must submit at 300 to 500 word paper on why Bruce Power is important to Ontario as well as a tag line for the company and a statement of career goals.
25 people will each receive one thousand dollar scholarships.
There are also 75 different 500 dollar awards and 100 different scholarships for 250 dollars.
The awards will be announced on August 25th.
