Grey County OPP are investigating a house fire on Crawford Road in Chatsworth Township, that left a woman in hospital with severe burns to her body.
It happened shortly after 9 PM on Monday and neighbours were alerted when they heard the women screaming for help.
They found the woman in her back yard and saw smoke pouring out of the house.
The neighbours immediately called 911, and the Chatsworth Fire Department responded and put out the blaze.
The 31 year old woman was taken by ambulance to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre in Owen Sound, and then transferred to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
She is in fair condition.
The Ontario Fire Marshalls Office and the Grey County OPP are continuing to investigate.
