Close to 40 young ladies will take the stage at the Walkerton Community Centre this today, vying for the crowns of Ontario Miss Midwest and the Little Princess.
The Pageant represents the five counties of Wellington, Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce — and a they will anoint a new little princess to accompany the Queen throughout her year.
Reigning Queen Brittany Grual of Milverton and Little Princess Kaylee Hughes of Whitechurch will hand their crowns off to the new winners.
Girls between the ages of 8 and 12 can compete to be the Little Princess — and will be judged on interviews based on applications, formal wear and on stage questions.
Kaylee Hughes says she’s had a ton of fun in her role as Little Princess this past year.
Kaylee tells us she got to accompany the queen to a ton of events — such as local charity golf tournaments, fundraiser’s and she even got to do some modelling.
There are 21 contestants vying to carry the Miss Midwest Queen title And 16 hoping to be crowned the Little Princess.
The Ontario Miss Midwest and Little Princess pageant runs today at the Walkerton Community Centre beginning at 7 PM.
