It’s time to look at the big picture — that from Hanover and District Hospital CEO Katrina Wilson.
She feels in order to survive in these tight economic times — the Hanover Hospital needs to forge new and stronger partnerships with neighbouring hospitals.
Wilson says the first order of business is for each hospital to identify their strengths and then determine the best way to share patient volume.
Wilson says although Hanover remains an independent hospital — there really are no ‘stand alone’ hospitals anymore.
She says all hospitals need to work together to survive — especially since both the federal and provincial governments wrestle huge deficits.
Wilson feels the Hanover Hospital is an excellent acute care facility, citing the 24-7 Emerge Department, the Surgical program as the Hospital’s top key strengths.
