The Summer Company from the Business Enterprise Centre is working for one young man from Owen Sound.
Jonathon Farmer has started a summer business called “the Story Ark”.
Farmer started the business — which preserves life stories and family histories — with funding from Ontario’s Student Summer Company Program.
Farmer uses video to preserve the stories — first by meeting with the client, recording their story through video and then he will edit and narrate the material.
He says the finished product is a mini biography of the individual.
Farmer says the reception to his service is positive so far — and people love the idea.
The Story Ark is a government funded business that Farmer says will help him earn money to help pay for his university education.
Farmer adds there are no boring people, or at least he hasn’t met one yet.
