The 18th annual Lobster Picnic goes today in Port Elgin.
The popular lakeside event happens on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron at North Shore Park.
It’s a major fundraiser for the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton and spokesperson Shannon Paiva says the money raised supports exhibit development.
Paiva says this year the band “Howling Dog’s” will play while you dig into succulent lobster and steak.
She says the lobster is coming from the out East and was just shipped here this week, so it’s as fresh as possible.
Seating is limited for the event; the first sitting is at 5 PM followed by another sitting at 7 PM.
If you don’t already have a ticket, Paiva says new this year is limited seating for walk ups.
