Georgian Bluffs Council is taking a wait and see attitude toward the closure of the Owen Sound Golf and Country Club.
The club is located not in Owen Sound but in the former Sarawak Township just north of the city limits.
The closure was not discussed at township council on Wednesday night.
Mayor Alan Barfoot says the golf course’s board of directors has not approached the municipality regarding taxes or any other matter.
Barfoot says if they contact the municipality regarding potential liabilities — Council will listen and make whatever decision needs to be made at that time.
Barfoot would not comment on whether or not the 91-year-old golf course is up to date on its taxes.
