South Bruce Peninsula councillor Jay Kirkland is calling for a reduction in all-day parking fees at Sauble Beach.
Right now the fees are $15 up from last year’s $10-dollar-levy.
Kirkland — in a notice of motion to Council — said what with the less-than- ideal weather recently, they should be doing everything they can to entice tourists up to Sauble Beach.
Kirkland believes the reduced parking fee would say the Sauble Beach area is open for business, no matter what the weather.
Kirkland isn’t sure if the fee reduction could be in place this summer but further discussion on the issue will come up at the next committee of the whole meeting on Tuesday.
