Three youths have been charged after a series of break-ins in Owen Sound.
Police say an alert citizen called police about suspicious activity at a neighbouring house and officers found the youths a few blocks away.
Police allege they found property stolen from other homes in the youths possession.
Their investigation revealed the youths had broken into a total of four westside houses — stealing mainly alcohol and some other items.
Police allege the youths would stake out houses and knock on the door to see if anyone was home — and if someone came to the door — they would say they were looking for a cat.
Two 14 year olds and a 12 year old have each been charged with four counts of Break and Enter.
