Saugeen Shores Deputy Mayor Luke Charbonneau has a bone to pick with several Ontario ministries and Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell.
Charbonneau reported to council that in the past three or four months, council has sent letters to the provincial ministries responsible for the pending closure of the Walkerton and Owen Sound jails and for the wind turbine development process.
He says in both cases they have yet to hear from the province except for a letter from the Premier’s office saying some correspondence is being forwarded to other ministries.
Charbonneau says at the very least, he expected to hear from the ministries or Carol Mitchell, saying nothing can be done and they’re moving ahead.
He says speaking into a vacuum is very disappointing and frustrating.
