A thirsty thief has now been arrested in connection with a Beer Store Break-in earlier this month.
Back on June 5th, a break and enter was reported at the Owen Sound Beer Store.
Police say a suspect gained entry by smashing the front door with a rock and subsequently stole a case of beer.
However, the suspect dropped the stolen case of beer when he spotted police arriving on the scene.
Images of the suspect were captured on video surveillance footage, but he was not immediately identified.
On Monday — two alert Detectives of the Owen Sound Police Service observed a young male in the downtown core who matched the descriptors of the Beer Store suspect.
The Detectives investigated the male and later placed him under arrest.
A 17 year old Owen Sound teen has been charged with Break, Enter and Theft and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Owen Sound on August 9th, 2011.
