A seven year old boy rescued from the waters of Nottawasaga Bay off Wasaga Beach Sunday has died of his injuries.
Ben Enslow of Wasaga Beach was on the frozen bay with a nine year old relative yesterday afternoon when he fell into a narrow gap in the ice and into a metre of water, three metres below.
Police aren’t saying how long the boy was in the water before rescue crews got to him.
He was taken to the hospital in Collingwood. An autopsy in Toronto will determine the cause of death.
A trust fund has also been set up for the family, called the Enslow Family Trust.
Donations can be made at any TD Canada Trust location.
