A 45 year old Owen Sound Police Constable is in trouble with the law.
Police say he was arrested at his home yesterday and charged with one count of assault.
The arrest was made after a complaint of a domestic assault.
The police officer — who has not been identified — was released after a bail hearing.
He has been suspended from duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
