Volunteer firefighters from Southampton and Port Elgin have saved three-and-a-half houses in three-days.
So says acting Fire Chief Phil Eagleson.
He says both departments were on the scene of a house fire yesterday afternoon on Picadilly Drive.
Although one home was severely damaged, the two homes on either side were saved from serious fire damage.
Cause of the blaze there is undetermined.
Two firefighters and the occupants of the home were treated for minor injuries and released.
This past Saturday, firefighters responded to a house fire on Fraser Court, off of Wellington street.
Eagleson says fire there was confined to an upstairs bathroom which was destroyed.
At one time flames were seen shooting through the roof.
Again the cause is undetermined at this time.
Nobody was hurt.
