He hopes now the Liberals have a stronger Leader, there will be less bickering and more work done on dealing with the economy.
Miller says the main focus for him and other parliamentarians will be to work together to bring in a plan that will see Canada through the current global economic crisis.
He says the federal budget to be presented on January 27 will have several measures to deal with the sorry state of the economy.
Miller says there will be stimulus in the form of infrastructure projects that will create jobs and pump money into local economies.
He says another issue he wants the government to look at is making agricultural support programs fairer and easier for farmers to access existing funds.
Miller says more money is not needed, but better access to the funds that are already there.
Another change he wants to see is access to Employment Insurance.
Miller says with all the job losses taking place in Grey Bruce, its essential that some of the roadblocks standing in the way of people getting EI are removed.
As for any future election, Miller says he and a majority of the people in Grey Bruce hope there will not be one next year.
