During October and November of this year, the suspect entered various Owen Sound retail businesses and bought numerous gift cards using fraudulent credit cards and fake identification.
The woman has been charged with 5 counts each of; utter forged document, fraud, use fraudulent credit card and laundering proceeds of crime.
She is presently in custody in St. Thomas after being arrested by St. Thomas Police for similar offences.
The Owen Sound Police are continuing to investigate to determine if any other suspects are involved or if there are any links to similar occurrences in southern Ontario.
