Kincardine Council has approved a by-law that firms up the rules for people who use the town’s harbour.
The number of transient slips will be reduced to make more space available for seasonal users.
The north pier will also be reserved for commercial boats, including fishing vessels.
Councillor Guy Anderson says there is a long waiting list for slips and they’re trying to include as many people as possible.
Anderson says a lot of what council has done is just housekeeping to keep the by-law easy to follow.
Anderson says fewer transient slips mean more space can be leased to local boaters who use the marina.
