Organiser Kristen Reid says is heading to West Africa as part of her university studies in music.
Reid is studying to become a music teacher and needs to complete teaching placements to gain experience.
The final three-week placement of her course is going to take place in Cameroon.
Reid will be travelling in a group that includes other student teachers.
She is paying her own travel fees, but is hoping to raise some money to buy school supplies for students in Cameroon.
Specifically, she is raising money for a science lab.
Admission to tonight’s concert is by donation.
Reid says a wide range of music will be featured.
It gets underway at 7 PM at the Geneva Presbyterian Church. (59th Third Street SW in Chesley)
