Saugeen Shores Police are investigating two separate incidents in Port Elgin, the suspects may have just thought were “pranks”.
In one case, an eleven year old boy is recovering from an injury.
Police say just before 3:30 Friday afternoon three boys were walking home from school in the area of Waterloo and Falconer Streets when they were approached by a black, four door, older model car.
The boys say they heard three popping sounds come from it and that’s when one was struck on the cheek by a “projectile”, receiving a small welt from the injury.
Police say it’s not know what the item was, but say it could have been fired from a BB gun, air soft pistol or slingshot.
The males in the car are described as being between 16 and 17 years of age.
One has blond hair, while the other two had either dark hair or dark hats.
In the seond incident, the same day and around the same time, two girls – aged 10 and 6 – were walking home from school on Parkwood.
They say a silver, four door car with tinted windows, drove up beside them and that the driver pointed a silver gun out of the window.
The girls heard a noise but nothing came out of the gun.
The driver was described as a white male with short blond hair, and was reported as laughing as he drove away.
Both incidents are still under investigation.
