Heritage lands in Bruce and Grey counties are being bought and preserved by the provincial government in partnership with the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
Two properties have been acquired through the Ontario Heritage Trust’s Natural Spaces Land Acquisition and Stewardship Program.
The Tulloch property, south of Meaford, is 11.9 hectares of mixed woodland.
The Collins property runs along the north shore of Colpoy’s Bay, northeast of Wiarton.
It is 31 hectares following the escarpment cliff face for a distance of 1.1 km.
The Natural Spaces Land Acquisition and Stewardship Program and the Bruce Trail Conservancy each contributed half of the funding
The Bruce Trail Conservancy will steward the lands into the future.
