Owen Sound Council will defer paying its annual Association of Municipalities membership fee for one month.
Membership fees are due December 31st, but council hopes to send a message by holding off payment.
Councillor Arlene Wright says council will meet with past president Doug Reycraft on January 26th to discuss their concerns.
One of the main issues is a lack of representation for small rural towns at AMO meetings.
Wright feels they need some answers before deciding whether or not to remain a member of AMO.
The City of Owen Sound would pay almost 5 thousand dollars ($4,963.94) for an annual membership.
