The first of two separate day long public hearings is today in Ajax.
It surrounds applications by Bruce Power to renew operating licences for Bruce A and B Nuclear Generating Stations.
Bruce Power is requesting a five year renewal for both facilities.
The hearing is available for viewing on a live webcast via the CNSC web site; a second hearing is set for February 18 in Ottawa.
The public still has time to state intentions to take part in that hearing.
A written request has to be filed with the Secretary of the Commission by January 19th.
