Provincial Police believe they may have solved the case of bogus cheques.
Wellington OPP arrested a man at TD Canada Trust in Mount Forest on Thursday.
A teller became suspicious of his request to cash a cheque from Zellers for almost a thousand dollars and called Police.
Officers found the suspect had shown false I-D and the cheque was bogus.
Similar frauds have occurred in the last week in Port Elgin, Wiarton, Markdale and Meaford — and police are checking to see if there is a link between the incidents.
A 43 year old man from Ottawa has been charged with fraud and uttering a forged document.
