There soon will be more than just memories of this falls International Plowing Match in Teeswater.
To celebrate the 2008 IPM a special 100 page colour book of photos is being put together which will feature projects from the begriming of preparations for the IPM , through the week of the event to to the takedown of the tented city.
Joan Horho is the Project Co ordinator of the publication and has assembled more than 6 thousand colour photos of every aspect of the IPM and has the task of choosing about 400 to grace the pages of the 100 page book.
She admits that is a very formidable task and hopes to have the book ready to go to the printers and will be available for pick up in mid December just in time for Christmas.
She says every IPM committee and event will be pictured in the book including some of the unforgettable weather events that threatened the match at the very begriming.
That is when a torrential rain storm turned the entire site into a muddy bog for several days.
She says that section will be titled simply “Mud”.
Horho says the cost of the book will be 25 dollars of which most of that will be spend on publishing and the remainder will be turned over to IPM committee.
She says the deadline for ordering it is November 26th and more information on how to do that can be found at billjoanhorho@wrightman.ca
