More troubles for the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
Forty-fourĀ full and part time public health nurses at the health unit are taking their
contract dispute to conciliation.
The public health nurses — who are members of the Ontario Nurses’ Association —
have been without a contract since December 31st.
Wages and benefits are the main issue.
Co-Bargaining Unit President Helen Risteen says public health nurses in Grey Bruce are in the bottom one third in every aspect of contracts.
Public health nurses provide a range of services — including health education and promotion, outbreak protection and provide sexual health clinics.
