No official endorsement has been made yet but Huron-Kinloss council is hoping to send a letter of support to a review panel examining the proposed expansion at Bruce Power.
A Joint Review Panel is taking a six-month look at the the Environmental Impact Statement and licence application for the new build.
Councillor Anne Eadie says they want to express their support to the Joint Review Panel taking a look
Mayor Mitch Twolan says an expansion at Bruce Power makes good economic sense, especially with manufacturing jobs being lost.
Twolan says it would mean better employment chances for township residents, and that’s the main reason council wants to see Bruce Power expand.
