Dr. Kerr Clarke is retiring from practice in January.
Chair of the Physician retention and recruitment committee Mark Rogan says fortunately, he was only working part-time and his patient load isn’t that heavy.
Rogan says Hanover has been fortunate attracting 5 doctors in the past 3.5 years to the town.
He says the clinic can handle 15 doctors and right now they have 10 in Hanover.
Rogan says his job is open ended and with physicians either retiring or in some cases leaving, the recruitment effort will continue indefinitely.
He says they sell the community to University students, taking up the rural lifestyle but also the benefits of working at the clinic and with the other doctors in Hanover.
