The Owen Sound Attack added a forward in a trade with the Peterborough Petes.
The team announced in a release Tuesday the acquisition of Caden Taylor, 18, from the Petes in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection (OTT), and a conditional fifth in 2028 (KGN).
“We feel very fortunate to have the ability to bring Caden in a this time,” Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says in a release. “Caden is a highly offensive gifted forward that can add to the offence of our group immediately. Caden brings excellent skill and size. We believe there is tremendous upside for him to grow with our group in Owen Sound. We would like to welcome Caden and his family to the Attack organization.”
A 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward, Taylor was selected in the first round, ninth overall, by the Sudbury Wolves in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection. He spent only half of his true rookie season in Sudbury before being moved to Peterborough. In 76 games with the Petes over parts of two seasons, Taylor had 34 points (16-18–34).
He will wear No. 29 with the Attack and is expected to make his debut Friday when they travel to London to face the Knights.
