Police say a break in occured at a Kilsyth home in late October.
Culprits broke into a garage and stole a large number of tools owned by a local contractor including a welder, two flooring nailers, two acetylene tanks, a couple of drills and a portable air compressor.
Investigators say it is possible those who now have the tools might have bought them in good faith not knowing they were stolen.
Anyone with information or who may have purchased similar tools in the past few weeks is asked to call Grey County O-p-p or Crime Stoppers.
