Three more names are now in the Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony took place last night at the Plex in Port Elgin.
They are Special Olympic Athlete Sheila Lawrie, Paralympic Athlete Josh Cassidy, and musician and teacher Wayne McGrath.
Lawrie won 3 gold and 1 silver medal at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China in 2007.
Catherine McKinnon — Lawrie’s coach — says Lawrie was thrilled when she won her first medal which was also the first medal for Team Canada.
McKinnon says Lawrie had her family there to see her win and that was an extremely proud moment for her.
Wayne McGrath is being inducted for his work in music in the community including the Saugeen District Secondary School band.
McGrath says he was surprised when he learned that he was nominated.
He says he was doing what he has always been doing at the school and now is getting recognized for it.
Josh Cassidy is going in for his accomplishments as a paralympic athlete on both national and international levels.
As a matter of fact, Cassidy is in England right now preparing for the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, China coming up this summer.
There were 40 nominees eligible for induction this year.
