Work continues on Chantry Place in Southampton.
It’s hoped in fact, some residents will be in one of the condo units by Christmas of this year.
The new 4 storey building is being erected at the corner of Highway 21 and Adelaide Street.
Martin Castellan is the Director and Founder of Skyline Real Estate Developments.
He says there will be 24 units and ground floor parking for each one with a garage.
The units start at just under 2 hundred 65 thousand dollars.
There will be a common rooftop balcony, with a trellis and BBQ area.
Castellan says a few units have a private rooftop balcony, and are priced in the 3 hundred 20 thousand dollar range.
Castellan says a 2 unit commercial portion will be located at the front along Adelaide Street.
He assumes a unit owner may end up purchasing one of the two commercial units to run a business; something desirable in the area, like a spa or chiropractic clinic.
Castellan says the building is being made of pre-cast concrete, allowing them for a faster build.
With this method, the concrete is poured, and formed off site, then built up with a crane, and basically a floor a week can be built.
