About 60 people turned out to a meeting Thursday night at the Elmwood Community Centre.
Five of the eight County Council members of the Highways Committee also attended the meeting.
Bruce County Engineer Brian Knox says last September, a meeting was held regarding the Naggs Bridge project and residents presented their concerns.
Some are concerned about the state of the road at the bridge, and others would like to see the bridge in another location.
Knox says last night they were able to answer many of the resident’s concerns and questions.
Last year, the project included possibly closing the 12th concession of Brant Bridge but many area residents opposed the idea.
Knox says they’ve set that issue aside, and if it is ever brought up again, the public will be consulted first.
He wants people to be aware that the Nagg’s Bridge plan is not connected to the other bridge project anymore.
Knox says Bruce County staff will now go over last night’s input and incorporate it into their plan.
The Nagg’s Bridge project is estimated to cost 3.6 million dollars and the current structure has been closed since 2007.
