It’s the meeting of the minds at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre stakeholders meeting.
The meeting is set for Friday at one this afternoon at the Kincardine municipal offices.
Speaking on Soundingboard, Kincardine mayor Larry Kraemer says the meeting is basically and educational one for the attendees.
Recently the Kincardine hospital lost its public physiotherapy services and a private business has taken over.
It’s since been announced the other hospitals in Chesley, Durham and Walkerton will have their services affected by next April.
Kraemer says the idea of the meeting is to find out some of the reasons behind the moves even if they don’t agree with them.
Also attending will be Huron Kinloss mayor Mitch Twolan.
He says he plans to present a report that has been developed by council asking about the status of health services in Kincardine and what their future might be.
Twolan says Huron Kinloss residents who use the facilities in Kincardine consider the future of the hospital a huge issue and Twolan suspects the subject will only get bigger.
Also attending will be members of the Kincardine Physician Group, along with hospital foundation members; Health and Long Term Care Ministry representatives; Local Health Integration Network and Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell.
Three hours has been set aside for the meeting.
