Several Grocery stores in Grey Bruce and area being honoured for their promotion of locally grown in Ontario Food.
The outstanding and innovative efforts of grocery retailers to promote Ontario’s fresh food products were recognized at this year’s Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Leona Dombrowsky says This year’s award winners have done an outstanding job promoting fresh, local Ontario products.
The Foodland Ontario Award of Excellence went to Food Basics in Listowel and
Scrimgeours Food Market in Blyth.
The Gold award for Cross-Merchandising went to the Foodland outlet in Dundalk.
The Silver Award of Merit went to the Food Basics store in Hanover.
The Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards recognize grocery retailers for their in-store promotion of fresh Ontario food.
More than 900 stores entered this years competition.
