Actually the Ontario Senior Games Winterfest will be held next February 11-13 in Brockville.
On Soundingboard recently, District 27 Bruce Grey Winterfest senior games coordinator Ian Rutherford says in order to get there, some local playdowns and registrations need to take place.
Persons aged 55 years and up and a resident of Bruce or Grey county is welcome to compete in one of ten sanctioned events locally.
Rutherford says the events include curling, hockey, nordic skiing, 10-pin bowling, table tennis, just to name a few.
He says individuals and teams need to register for the District competitions by November 1st.
Event dates and locations will be announced after that.
However Rutherford points out the curling competitions are set for November 24th at the Allenford Curling Club.
