Two of the three accused in the death of Owen Sound restaurant owner Sharif Rahman have learned that they may face extradition.
A court in Scotland has ruled that the pair should face extradition to answer to the charges.
Twenty-four-year-old Robert Evans is charged with manslaughter.
His father, 47-year-old Robert Busby Evans, and uncle, 54-year-old Barry Evans, are charged with being accessories after the fact.
All three men were in an Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.
The youngest of the three men, being charged with manslaughter, will be extradited due to the charge against him.
The question surrounded if the older two men would also have to stand trial, and whether the charges laid by Canadian authorities also count as an offence under Scottish law.
An extradition hearing has been pushed from August 14 until October 20.
In August 2023, the three men had a dispute with Rahman over an unpaid bill of $150. A physical altercation ensued, which led to the 44-year-old business owner to be critically injured, prompting his transfer to a London hospital. He died from his injuries a week later.
According to sources, after the altercation, the three men had fled to Collingwood before returning to the United Kingdom.
