Clean up and work to restore power continues after a line of severe thunderstorms ripped through the Grey Bruce region Thursday afternoon.
According to Hydro One, more than 12,000 homes and businesses remain without power this morning. The estimated restoration times for most of the remaining outages is around 4 p.m. this afternoon.
A line of intense storms swept through the area Thursday afternoon bringing strong winds, lightning, thunder and heavy downpours.
Some tree damage has been reported, including a large tree that landed across a parked pickup truck in Sauble Beach, and a tree down on McNabb Street in Southampton. There have been downed trees reported in Owen Sound as well.
