It’s worthy of celebration.
So says Kincardine Mayor Larry Kraemer when asked for his reaction to his municipality being named the fastest growing centre in Bruce County, according to the latest assessment figures.
Speaking on Soundingboard during Local Government Week Kraemer told us he’s been a firm believer in the solid growth of the area for some time and this just proves it out.
He says fortunately their infrastructure has handled the increased growth to the area, which includes, commercial and residential builds.
Kraemer does admit they will have challenges, like other lakeshore communities, with sewer services along the lakeshore but he believes none is insurmountable.
Kraemer says looking down the road, he can see nothing but growth in the area and other areas along the Lake Huron coastline.
He says it’s almost inevitable.
The assessment figures place South Bruce Peninsula as the second fastest growing community followed by Huron Kinloss, the North Bruce Peninsula and Saugeen Shores
