The Grey Bruce Regional Tourism Marketing partnership has handed out some hardware.
The group handed out five awards yesterday at its annual conference in Owen Sound.
The municipality of Kincardine won the Best Package Tour for the Historic Queen Street Walking Tour
The Best Tourism Website honour went to the Grey Bruce Agriculture and Culinary Association for www.foodgreybruce.com
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce won Best Tourism Publication.
The Charlie Kelly Award — which is co-sponsored by Bayshore Broadcasting — went to Stacy Charlton, the Chair of Saugeen Country Tourism.
The honour is given each year to the person who makes the most significant contribution to tourism in Grey Bruce in the past year.
Charlton spearheaded the Arran Elderslie display at the 2008 International Plowing Match and won the IPM Beautification contest for most outstanding bed and breakfast.
The Next Generation award went to Holly Delange of Owen Sound Tourism.
She is going to Australia in January to further her tourism studies.
