After some cooler temperatures last night, parts of Southern Ontario are now under heat warnings for this weekend.
Both Grey and Bruce Counties are under a heat warning from Environment Canada.
Daytime highs in the low 30s are expected for Saturday and Sunday, but the Humidex will make it feel like the low 40s.
It’s also expected that there will be little relief overnight, with lows in the low-to-mid 20s.
The high humidity means conditions will also be right for severe thunderstorms could pop up at any time.
It’s suggested to avoid overly strenuous activity during the day, or to take frequent breaks from the heat and to stay hydrated.
It’s also recommended to check on those vulnerable to the heat and humidity, including older adults, those living alone, and people with chronic conditions that require certain medications.
Never leave people, especially children, or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Make sure to wear lightweight, light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat when outside.
