Bruce County is holding a household hazardous waste collection event this Saturday.
On July 5th, residents can drop off their hazardous materials at the Eastnor Landfill Site at 1252 West Road in Lion’s Head.
The collection will be happening from 8 am until 12 pm.
Materials such as paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, fluorescent lights, and pool chemicals.
A full list of materials that will be accepted is available on the county’s website.
The county has the following guidelines for material collection:
• Commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions and flares are not accepted.
• Only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less are be accepted.
• Waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of. Containers will not
be emptied and returned (e.g., gas cans).
• Empty metal paint cans are blue box recyclable.
