Grey Bruce OPP have laid arson charges against a man after two suspicious fires in Oliphant.
Emergency services were called to a structure fire along Bruce Road 13 near Spry Lake Road just after 1 a.m. early Wednesday morning. Police and firefighters arrived to find a wooden outbuilding fully engulfed in flames.
Police say the structure was unoccupied.
Bruce Road 13 was temporarily closed at Spry Lake Road to allow emergency vehicles safe access to the scene.
The OPP say there was another structure fire in the area earlier this month, on June 15.
“No injuries were report in either incident,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release.
A 39-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with two counts of arson in relation to the pair of fires.
