The doors are open to the Paisley Medical Clinic.
A a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place yesterday afternoon at the site of the 22 hundred square foot clinic at the south end of the Village.
Chair of the Paisley Health Clinic Committee Dale Steinhoff was the Master of Ceremonies.
There were speeches made by Arran-Elderslie Mayor Ron Oswald, Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch, Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell, Brockton and Area Family Health Team Chair Bob Heisz, and Contractor Al Domm of Domm Construction.
Afterwards, the 60 or so people went inside to see the facility.
Steinhoff says with the clinic now open it will hopefully appeal to people who are looking to relocate to the Grey Bruce area.
He says it will also make life easier for those who live in Paisley that have to go to other area hospitals and clinics for medical treatment.
Steinhoff says they have had great people in the community working on this project and it has been a really great experience.
Oswald says the Municipality donated the land for the clinic.
He says there was some controversy about the land but it happens with any project.
Oswald says it is a great building that is well laid out.
He says it will look a little different next once more landscaping and grass is put in and the parking lot is completely paved.
The total cost of the clinic including furniture and construction is 385 thousand dollars.
The clinic will be a part of the Brockton and Area Family Health Team with Walkerton and Mildmay.
